About Daphne Sky Studios

hey, mamas! First of all, I see you, and I am SO grateful and EXCITEDDDD, you’re taking the leap to do this for yourself and your family. I know it’s easy to put yourself last—especially when you’ve got little ones pulling at your legs 24/7—but capturing these moments? It’s priceless.

I’m a mama myself, running after three wild boys and a husband (who’s basically my fourth kid some days 😆). So trust me when I say, I get it! I know how unpredictable kids can be, the moods, the meltdowns, the “Mum, I don’t wanna do this” energy. And guess what? That’s okay!

This shoot is about confidence, connection, and celebrating your beautiful chaos. It’s about you feeling like an absolute queen, whether that means glamming up or embracing your natural glow. It’s about capturing the snuggles, the giggles, the little in-between moments that make up your family’s love story.

I believe so deeply in the power of portraits—not just because they’re beautiful, but because they’re the legacy we leave behind. Photos are the only thing that freeze time, the only thing we can pass down to our children that let them see where they came from, who loved them, and how cherished they were.

So let’s make magic together. Let’s hype you up, get those kiddos smiling (yes, bribes are welcome 😂), and create images that you’ll love on forever. I cannot WAIT to photograph your incredible family! 📸✨

Prep? What is prep? I have to do stuff?! Waahhhhh!!!

This may have you all in knots, but fear not my loves I have you covered! So let’s jump right in!

Alright, gorgeous families, it’s time to get excited because your stunning, high-end family portrait session is just around the corner! To make the most of it, let’s start with YOU. Mums, if you love a little glam, treat yourself to a fresh blowout, a little makeup (or you can hire my team beforehand), and a gorgeous outfit that makes you feel amazing. Dads, a clean shave or well-groomed beard can make all the difference—whatever helps you feel confident!

Breakfast is a must—no hangry vibes allowed. Make it a yummy one so everyone’s feeling fueled and ready! Chat with the kids beforehand, set the vibe: “We’re going to have so much fun, this is exciting, and we’ll get some cool photos together!” Keep it light, keep it positive. We’re shooting in the Jimboomba studio, so factor in traffic and give yourselves enough time. If the little ones need snacks or tiny bribes (totally allowed), bring them along. Happy kids = dreamy portraits!

Preparation

Hair & Makeup

So we have this totally awesome set up in my studio, which all my clients are really digging! You get pampered and styled by our very own in house makeup artist Not only will she start your shoot with the most amazing way, by providing, rad chats, good beats, AND amazing makeup and hair styling, but she will also be giving you the best hype girl antics. What’s not to love? Like really. The whole process is around maximum 1 hour - with lashes included. Yep, she’s pretty fucking awesome. Our chosen makeup artist is the best in the industry, and I am so glad I have her in my studio with me creating magic! She also, works with you, your face structures, your skin tones, and basically what really illuminates you the most. Because here, we are all about EMPOWERING YOU, not changing you.

If you are worried about the children - you can go to her studio BEFORE you come to mine, that way there is no children in the studio waiting around (and as a fellow mamacita - I know how crazy they can get and we want be chill AF before the shoot)

P.s Here is a little note from our makeup artist:

MAKEUP PREP: PLEASE ARRIVE WITH A CLEAN FACE & NO MAKEUP. (skincare is fine). The following is not absolutely necessary but is highly recommended to get amazing results with makeup:
Prep the skin with a gentle exfoliant and hydration face mask the night prior to appointment (use only products you know won’t irritate your skin). Brow grooming is recommended as it can make a dramatic difference with how clean the eye makeup looks. Any waxing or threading is recommended to be done at least 24hrs prior to the makeup appointment.
HAIR PREP: Please arrive with CLEAN and COMPLETELY DRY hair. Best to wash the night before or the morning of if you have super oily hair. Do not use any hair products eg. serums/oils after washing your hair. Wear a top that is easy to change in and out of (eg button up)

We are all about elegance and timelessness. Keep your outfits simple, clean, and in line with your vision board. Are we going casual with matching tones, or are we going full glam with suits and long dresses? Black and white, blue and white—choose something cohesive that complements each other beautifully.

BUT still make it so that it suits your PERSONALITY - we want you feeling good as well!!!

Avoid: logos, neon or super bright colors, and crazy patterns. These can be distracting and take away from the raw emotion and connection in your portraits. We want the focus on your faces, your energy, and your bond—not on a giant cartoon character on a t-shirt! Keep it classic, keep it chic, and trust the process.

Styling & Outfits

This is a studio session, so yes, there will be posing—but don’t worry, I’ve got you! I’ll guide you every step of the way so you’ll never feel awkward or unsure. Before your shoot, take a moment to check out my work, watch my reels, and get a feel for the vibe.

We’ll be efficient, peaceful, and totally in the moment. If the kids get a little wiggly (which they probably will!), we’ll lean into it with movement-based shots that still capture their personalities beautifully. It’s all about creating high-quality, luxurious imagery that feels effortless and real.

After the shoot

Okay, now you have finished the shoot, you have the BEST TIME EVER, and you are on the best high, and we are besties now.

But… what next? Your ordering appointment is where we will choose your images, look over the products and decide what collections that you want!

Within a 1-3 days we jump on a zoom meeting and we will get to relive your session! DROOLLL! We will be choosing your images and
This process is about an hour, so bring along glass of yummy or a tea whilst we gossip and die over your gallery.

I have payment plans available, which are super affordable we have my new in house payment plans which is $600-$1000 down (depending on what collection you choose) and the rest paid in full over the next two to four months. This has been raging success with my clients and they are loving that they get their gallery STRAIGHT AWAY, without waiting till the whole plan to finish!

ANYHOO - once your payments are made during the zoom, our throats are sore from screaming with happiness, we part ways and never talk to each other again.
I joke I joke! We stay in touch - the normal voice notes, DM’s, emails, texts or smoke signals, and little reminders on the payment plans. You also let me know if I can share the images via social media or if I can blog etc - it’s totally okay if you want to keep it private it’s around 50/50 that I get to! I understand the privacy with keeping our families to ourselves!

Yep, all we do here in the studio, is deliver high end LUXURY products, so that your investment is fucking worth it!
