WANT SOME MORE GOOD VIBES?!
It all started when Kayla found me on facebook nearly two years ago, I was her third wheel, her chosen one, THE IT FACTOR. I was to be her wedding photographer. Dum dum duuummm!
Anyhoo, after documenting their sweet engagement, then their beautiful beach wedding (check that out here) they told me they were travelling this sweet home land we call Australia. So they quit their jobs, BUILT THEIR OWN CARAVAN, and sold their stuff. Voila. You have two newlywed nomads, taking life by the horns and riding it with gusto - with their sweet fur baby Rossco at their sides.
If you want sunset photos. LIKE EPIC SUNSET PHOTOS. Then you my dear, have come to the right place.
Cue, Sam + Heath’s most epic country themed wedding. It was unreal, and coming from the Gold Coast to in land of Brisbane, was definitely a drive worth taking. The lush green paddocks, vast valleys, winding roads, and towering trees were my favourite, and the peace that enveloped you once you were at Somerset Dam was so sweet!
So… you have booked your photographer (it better me!) and now you are freaking out and have no idea about what to do next.
First, breathe sister. I got you! Here are THREE main questions I get asked by my brides after they book me to be their third wheel.
Pinterest eat your heart out!
For all your dreamers out there - this wedding is your go to guide to an alternate wedding that will stand out from the rest!
When I first met Dil + Zach we completely hit it off (over a year ago ish) , we met at the cutest freakin cafe called The Dust Temple (it’s in Currumbin GC) - where we discussed some plans and took a few smoochy smoochy pictures. They had a vision, and it was to be a moody, alternative wedding, with a boho twist. I literally died and declared us a creative match made in heaven - anyhoo so fast forward to now and weeehooooo! I think the images speak for themselves!
Move over ROYAL FAMILY - You just got totally sidelined!
I kid you not, when I scream this at you buuuttt Lisa + Will’s wedding was totes regal, beautiful and just oozed sophistication (unlike my grammar haha). From the massive Air Bnb in Kirra that housed a little plunge pool (where they all got glammed up), to the handmade Italian custom made wedding dress (it had three layers!), to the Catholic cathedral like church, our own personal limo driver that drove us around for our portrait session, and lastly, to the epic venue by the Tweed River!
This family is held so close to my heart because they have known me since I was a wee teenager of fourteen years old! Yeppp, the amazing talented and creative genius Teneille who I still refer to as “Miss” (old habits die hard) was my drama teacher in high school, in a little town called Kooralbyn.
This was the first time I got to meet Trudy and her family, and WE HIT IT OFF from the get go! We had the most fantastic time, climbing the fences, playing and taking photos in the waterfalls and trees. We went upstream a little later as it started getting a lot busier (Curtis Falls is a main touristy spot) and decided to chuck off bikinis and get some AMAZING shots of her and her glorious feminine beauty!
I was heavily pregnant at the time too so we both frolicked in the water together. It was the most exhilarating fun maternity session I have ever captured!
When I came out to Jess + Jaye’s home, I was absolutely blown away at the beauty and their family lifestyle - I saw the sunset, and as an addict of beautiful sunsets, it just gripped my heart and gave it an almighty squeeze! Doing this session played a HUGE decision in my move to the country - as I could see how happy they all were surrounding by trees, animals and space to play! I was in no doubt convinced and now a few months on , I am so glad I now too have adopted the country livin’ slow livin’ lifestyle
